This exceptional over-shirt is a stunning example, repurposing old textiles, quilts and leftover fabrics each shirt is uniquely designed and hand stitched together...no waste garments. The curved shapes of the cutouts is meant to evoke ripples across a surface of water. Kantha is a hand stitching technique not dissimilar to Boro or Sashiko stitching used traditionally to mend, embellish or quilt pieces together - exactly what the artisans have done to these pieces. Each piece is one of a kind and hand stitched together, traditional button down with collar and long sleeves with a cuff. Oversized with side slits and a little embroidered red tag as a signature. Laura is 5'9 and typically wears a size medium/large she is wearing the size small. Falls to below hips. 100% cotton, wash cold and hang to dry.
